I am dreading having to plow my way out of the mess that heaped up overnight. Gone are the days when I enjoyed digging through the cold and wet. Being a kid at play is worlds away from an adult being forced to shovel a ton of snow. Eh, I guess I don't completely hate the stuff. It always seems quiet & peaceful after a snow. You can enjoy it until you realize that you're freezing your knickers off.

Thanks for the snowflakes, guys! Almost got actual snow where I am. It's raining like a mofo where I live right now, which has made my morning just lovely, btw. Hate the rain with a passion, but love snow. When it's not icing up the roads, that is.

I'm nearly ready for the holidays. Don't want to be caught up in the last minute crowd (been there, done that too many times). I have a lot of baking to do soon as well. But it will all be fun.

Speaking of holiday things, I had a lot of hope for the B&N Nook, but up close, it's much ado about very little. Definitely doesn't live up to its hype, not to mention that they can't even deliver on producing enough devices for the holiday season. Deciding between the Sony Pocket & the Sony Touch reader now.

The bad thing about watching the V mini-series marathon that Sci-fi channel had recently is that, while it made a lovely diversion after not having seen it in forever, I have been itching for fan fiction I haven't been able to find. And some that may not have ever existed. Hell, V is the cause of half the fandom fetishes that I have, to be honest. That's what happens when impressionable kidlets watch certain shows, I guess. Or maybe I'm just an odd bird. I might have to write something to get it all out of my system at some point. Get out of my head, Diana. Seriously.

I'm a bit behind on my goals for NaNo (above paragraph deals with one of the reasons for this), but I plan (or hope) to make up for it over the weekend. I've got some of the fic up so far. I think it's turning out alright. It doesn't help matters that there is a niggling little voice in the back of my mind saying 'It's only the 5th - you still have time to switch to that Babylon 5 idea!' ~~And then there's the Diana/Donovan femdom with Martin as a reluctant participant fic that keeps coming back to haunt me.~~ We shall see if I'm able to resist the urge.
